What's On at Sprague School?

The first day of school is September 2nd!

 Letter from the PTO Co-Presidents

Dear Sprague Families,

Welcome everyone! We are looking forward to an exciting school year at Sprague!

Every September brings a fresh start for all of us. On the first day ofschool, you will notice new faces–-new children, new parents and a few new teachers and staff members. Please stop by the PTO Welcome Breakfast the first morning of school and take a minute to introduce yourself to someone you haven't met before.

Mark your calendars now and plan to attend the many wonderful activities ahead, beginning with a school-wide Ice Cream Social on September 5.

On October 14, well-known author Nancy Carlsson-Paige will join us at an evening meeting to discuss her latest book, Taking Back Childhood: Helping Your Kids Thrive in a Fast-Paced, Media-Saturated World.

New this year: principal Donna Dankner will host informal meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. Bring your own cup of coffee and come to share ideas or ask questions.  As this school year opens, we hope you will share in the spirit and energy that make Sprague School such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

How can you help? Attend regular PTO meetings. Volunteer to help in the classroom or at all-school events. Make a donation to the PTO to fund library books, essential classroom equipment and Creative Arts and Sciences programs that bring the curriculum to life for our children. Participating at Sprague can happen in many ways.

No contribution of time or treasure is insignificant. This school belongs to all of us and all that we accomplish benefits every child.  Enjoy your last weeks of summer! We're looking forward to seeing you soon!
